How it works

A session, step by step.

You get the benefit of being in the shop without being there. Here’s what happens, and what doesn’t.

1

Choose a shopper

Browse shoppers by city, speciality, language and price. Every profile shows their hourly rate, their experience and reviews from earlier sessions.

2

Send a request

Pick a time and a length, one to three hours, and write what you’re looking for. The price is shown before you send. Your shopper has a day to say yes or no.

3

Your shopper accepts

Once they accept, your payment is taken and held. You can message your shopper straight away to share references, sizes and budget.

4

The session

Your shopper visits shops on your behalf. Photographs, video, fabric notes and prices arrive as findings while they’re there, and you can ask questions as they go.

5

Findings and decisions

After the session you have everything in one place to compare and shortlist. You buy directly from the shop, or not at all. Then you can review your shopper.

An open ledger, a brass tape measure and a phone on a worn wooden shop counter by a window.
Prices are noted as quoted, and checked on the day.

What you pay for

Time and local knowledge.

A session’s price is your shopper’s hourly rate for the time you book. It covers their time and our service. You see the total before you pay.

It does not include anything you buy. For now, purchases are between you and the shop, and Fifthwill does not handle merchandise payments, shipping or customs. We keep these separate on purpose, so you always know what you’re paying for.

Prices your shopper reports are quoted by the shop on the day. We can’t promise an item is still available, reserved or authentic, and we’ll never say it is.
