Do I have to book to look around?
No. Browse the site and sample findings as long as you like. You only pay when you choose to book a session.
What is a session?
A session is a block of time, usually one to three hours, when your shopper visits shops on your behalf. You agree what to look for beforehand, and you can message your shopper while they are out.
What if my shopper cannot find what I want?
Sessions are about discovery, so a shopper will show you what is actually there, including when it is not quite what you pictured. If a session does not go as agreed, contact us from the session and we will look at it with you.
Pricing and cancellations
What does a session cost?
Each shopper sets an hourly rate, shown on their profile. The price of a session is that rate for the length you book, and you see the total before you pay. It covers the shopper’s time and our service. It does not include anything you decide to buy.
When do I pay?
When your shopper accepts your request. Your payment is held until the session is complete, then released to your shopper.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel at least 48 hours before the session starts for a full refund. Between 24 and 48 hours, a quarter of the session price is kept; within 24 hours, half. If your shopper cancels, you are refunded in full. The same terms are shown at checkout.
Buying
How do I buy something I like?
For now, you buy directly from the shop. Your findings include the shop’s name, details and the price your shopper was quoted, so you can arrange the purchase yourself. Fifthwill does not handle merchandise payments or shipping yet.
Are prices and availability guaranteed?
No. Prices are quoted by the shop and checked on the day. A shopper reports what they saw; we cannot promise that an item is still available, reserved or authentic, and we will never say so.
Shoppers
How are shoppers chosen?
Every shopper applies with a profile describing their city, specialities and languages, and is reviewed by our team before they can take bookings. After each session, customers can leave an honest review.
Can I become a shopper?
Yes, if you know the shops in your city and enjoy helping people find things. Read about it on the Become a shopper page and tell us about yourself.
Privacy and safety
Is my information safe?
We collect what we need to run your sessions and nothing more. Photos and video from your sessions are stored privately and only visible to you and your shopper. Read the Privacy page for the details.
Why can’t I share my phone number in messages?
Keeping conversations in Fifthwill protects your booking, your payment and your privacy. Messages that include phone numbers, email addresses or links are not sent.
